Pink Diamonds! The colour of LOVE

It is widely known that a pink diamond represents the colour of LOVE. Whilst it is not necessarily the most traditional choice as an engagement ring, it certainly screams romance.

The obsession with pink diamonds peaked when Ben Affleck proposed to Jennifer Lopez with a pink engagement ring in 2002 from renowned jeweller Harry Winston. The ring was a 6.10 fancy intense pink diamond in a radiant cut with two white diamonds flanking the centre stone either side.

Due to the rarity of the colour of diamond, Jennifer Lopez' 6 carat ring, would have and still is more valuable than any flawless 20 carat diamond presently available on the market.

Pink diamonds, and coloured diamonds have become one of the most sought after diamonds on the market, acquired by investors to hold or bought to be worn as jewellery.

A pink diamond of five carats alone sold at a Christie's auction in Hong Kong for $11million back in 2009, the value would be infinitely more today.

One of the most notable pink diamonds known to market today is the Harry Winston Pink Legacy, a 18.96 fancy vivid pink diamond which is valued at $50.4 million.

The Pink Star Diamond at 59.60 carats, which is the size of medium strawberry sold at a Sotheby's auction for $71.2 million in 2017. A pink diamond that size is a complete and utter rarity and is one of the most beautiful stones in the world.

We have created an elegant pink diamond illusion ring in homage of these beautiful pink diamonds which can be worn as a cocktail ring, engagement ring or perhaps a promise ring before a big diamond ring!

We do hope you enjoy your pink diamond cocktail ring and wear it feeling romantic and showered with love.
