The ring is an emerald cut aquamarine flanked by small, solitaire diamonds and set in 24-carat yellow gold. It is believed to have been commissioned by the Princess from Asprey.
Following her divorce from Prince Charles in 1996, Princess Diana was seen on a few occasions wearing the elegant and unique aquamarine ring on her wedding finger. The ring was most recently worn by the late Princess' daughter-in-law Meghan Markle on the occasion of her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.
It is believed Diana acquired the ring's beautiful aquamarine centrepiece as a gift from a friend.
"The aquamarine was gifted to Diana by her friend, Lucia Flecha de Lima, and was then commissioned into a ring in 1996 by Asprey."
The ring itself, which is most likely priceless is currently valued at around £80,000, yet if it were to be sold it would most likely sell for infinitely more due to the unique history and owners of this ring.
